About the estate
The Monti estate is located in Controguerra in Abruzzo on the Colle Pignotto hill. Founded in 1969, the winery was managed for over thirty years by brothers Elio and Antonio Monti before Emilia Monti took over leadership in 2002. The vineyards are situated in Controguerra and neighboring municipalities on sandy limestone soils. The cultivated grape varieties mainly include Montepulciano and Pecorino. The portfolio includes wines from the Colline Teramane, Controguerra, and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC denominations.
