About the estate

The Merlotta estate looks back on a history of over sixty years and is managed by the family across four generations. The origins of the brand trace back to the acquisition of the Tenuta Merlotta in 1983, followed in later decades by the construction of new cellars and the purchase of additional estates. Today, the winery farms forty-five hectares of vineyards distributed across multiple properties in the heart of Emilia Romagna. The wines reflect the local terroir and encompass denominazioni such as Romagna DOC, Colli di Imola DOC, and Romagna Albana DOCG. In the cellar, the team relies on traditional and artisanal methods to craft distinctive wines with a unique identity.
