About the estate
The Melbury Vale Vineyard estate in Dorset was founded in 2003 by sister and brother Clare and Glynn and covers a vineyard area of 11.33 hectares. The vines were manually planted in 2006 and are situated on a south-facing, rolling hillside in the Stirkel Valley. The on-site winery was completed in 2013 and is built into the hillside, featuring sustainable design elements such as a wildflower meadow roof. Alongside wine, the production encompasses liqueurs, brandy, aromatized wines and cider originating from on-site and associated sister vineyards in Dorset.
