About the estate
The Madrarossa Winery was founded in 1999 following more than twenty years of scientific research into regional soils. The estate specializes in identifying ideal combinations of grape varieties and terroir in the territory of Menfi. Through experimental fields and micro-vinification activities, the winery continuously develops new wines to express the full potential of local viticulture. An international team of winemakers, agronomists, and geologists additionally investigates specific micro-terroirs on calcareous soils. The wines of the estate are classified under the Menfi DOC and Rosso Sicilia DOC appellations.
