About the estate
The family-run Mader estate is located at the terraced Moselle region in Koblenz and cultivates an area of approximately six hectares of vineyards. The winery was founded in the early 1950s by Hans Mader senior, who taught himself the profession of winemaking after returning from prisoner of war camp and steadily expanded the vineyard area in subsequent years. Hans Mader junior completed his master craftsman training and took over the management of the business before a new wine cellar was built in the town center in the 1980s. In 2002, Andreas joined the newly founded partnership as a co-owner and further drove the development of the estate.
