About the estate

The Lieschnegg estate is managed in the third generation by the Lieschnegg family in Fötschach near Leutschach in South Styria, where the foundation was laid in 1920. Covering approximately four hectares of vineyards on steep slopes, the estate cultivates grape varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Yellow Muscat, Morillon, Welschriesling, and Zweigelt. Farming is not certified organic, but consciously close to nature with a strong focus on manual labor during pruning and harvesting. Characterful wines and Frizzante are produced in the cellar and sold directly from the farm through personal customer contact. Additionally, the winery offers a guesthouse for visitors.

The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from Sauvignon Blanc and Gelber Muskateller. The estate sells to horeca. Export markets include Germany.
