About the estate
The Liener estate is located at Labitschberg near Gamlitz in the heart of South Styria and is run as a family business. The vineyards are situated on the Labitschberg and Rosenberg sites featuring south-facing, sandy-loam soils made of weathered rock. Twelve different grape varieties with a predominance of white wine are cultivated in the vineyards. Farming is carried out by hand with year-round precision and manual grape selection. Maturation takes place both in a more than 300-year-old vaulted cellar with wooden barrels and in a modern cellar with steel tanks.
The eno directory lists 8 wines, mostly from Zweigelt and Welschriesling.
