The Lager winery in Straß im Straßertale in the Kamptal region is run by Sonja Lager-Chalopek and Werner Lager, who transitioned the estate to a full-time operation in 2013 after previously working in it part-time. The family is supported by Wilma, Franz, and Veronika Lager, who assist in the vineyards and operations as needed. In addition to winemaking, the family also runs a traditional wine tavern known as a Heuriger. The estate is managed with a deep root in the local landscape and connection to regional traditions.
