About the estate
The Illuminati Vini estate looks back on a history that began in 1890 with the founding of the first winery in Ripatransone by Nicola Illuminati. In 1960, Dino Illuminati relocated the operation to Controguerra in Abruzzo, laying the foundation for today's 110 hectares of vineyards. The family business is now managed in the fifth generation, cultivating vineyards in a clay-soiled landscape situated between the Gran Sasso and the Adriatic Sea. The estate's wines are distributed internationally and look back on a long-standing history of global presence. The winery's approach combines traditional methods with ongoing development.
