About the estate
The Hardy house was founded in 1863 by the British wine and spirits merchant Anthony Hardy, who settled in the Charente region and adopted the Gallic rooster as the emblem of the house. Under his direction and that of his descendants, the company developed its international markets and forged a global reputation. Production relies on the rigorous selection of eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois crus, followed by aging in Limousin oak barrels. The cellar masters pass down their ancestral expertise across generations to create cognacs known for their elegance, subtlety, and distinctive character.
