About the estate

The Häckerhof - Weingut Werner und Lore Kiefer estate is located in the Kaiserstuhl region and traces its history back to 1851. The volcanic terroir with a lime-rich loess overlay and the mild climate shape the character of the wines. The estate covers 16 hectares of vineyards, cultivating primarily various Pinot varieties alongside Auxerrois, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. In the cellar, the red wines undergo traditional mash fermentation while the white wines are gently aged, partly in oak barrels.
