About the estate
The Hacienda Molleda estate was founded in the year 2000 by the Meléndez Molleda family in Tosos in the province of Zaragoza and is situated in the center of its vineyards. Located at an altitude of 750 meters near the Sierra de Algairén, the winery is the highest property within the Cariñena DO denomination. The Mudéjar-style building is designed on two levels to utilize gravity during the winemaking process. The wines reflect the character of the terroir and are primarily produced from the indigenous grape varieties Garnacha and Cariñena.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Grenache and Carignan. The estate sells to distributors. Export markets include United Kingdom.
