About the estate
The Gut Avelsbach estate in Trier looks back on a long history that began in 1896 with its establishment as a royal Prussian wine-growing domain. Across a vineyard area of 30 hectares, a large portion of which consists of steep slopes, varieties such as Riesling, Pinot cultivars, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, and Regent are cultivated. The vineyards are characterized by red slate and Devonian slate, imparting the wines with the finest fruit aromas and a mineral note. Alongside traditional winemaking, the property operates a long-established grapevine grafting nursery that processes numerous vines annually. The portfolio comprises diverse white and red wines crafted in harmony with nature.
