About the estate

The Greyfriars Vineyard estate is located on the sunny, south-facing chalk slopes of the Hog’s Back at Puttenham in Surrey, England. Originally established in 1989, the property was taken over by Mike and Hilary Wagstaff in 2010 and expanded to its current size of 40 acres. The vineyards are predominantly planted with the classic grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, alongside smaller plots of Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Blanc. The production focuses on traditional method sparkling wines and fresh still wines that reflect the unique chalky terroir of the Surrey North Downs.

The eno directory lists 20 wines, mostly from Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. The estate sells to retail.
