About the estate

Located in Gols near Lake Neusiedl, the family-owned Erich & Birgit Pittnauer estate looks back on a winemaking history dating back to 1551. Spanning 19 hectares of vineyards, the winery cultivates sites such as Altenberg, Goldberg, and Ungerberg within a warm and dry Pannonian climate. Soils composed of sand, loam, and gravel provide optimal conditions for local and international grape varieties, with white wines accounting for 40 percent and red wines for 60 percent of production. While white wines ferment and age in stainless steel tanks, red wines mature in large and small wooden barrels. The portfolio is completed by Frizzante and grape juice from estate-grown fruit.
