About the estate
The Domeniile Franco-Române winery manages 85 hectares of vineyards in the Dealu Mare region, located between the localities of Gura Vadului and Săhăteni. The south-facing hillside vineyards benefit from a climate similar to that of Burgundy. The conversion to organic farming began in 2003, and in 2006 the estate produced Romania's first certified organic wine. The variety portfolio includes white grapes such as Fetească Albă, Tămâioasă Românească, Fetească Regală, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling Italian, and Muscat Ottonel, alongside red varieties like Fetească Neagră, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
