Domaine Sylvain Gaudron

About the estate

The Domaine Sylvain Gaudron estate is located in the Loire Valley in Vernou-sur-Brenne and has been run by the family for four successive generations. The 29 hectares of vineyards feature clay-limestone soils resting on thick layers of tuffeau stone, planted exclusively with Chenin blanc. Gilles Gaudron practices sustainable farming with grass cover between the rows, alongside a smaller organically farmed plot. In a thirteenth-century cellar carved into the stone, the estate produces dry, medium-dry, and sweet still wines as well as sparkling wines made by traditional methods. The wines are marketed domestically and internationally.
