About the estate

The Domaine Le Capitaine estate is located in the Loire Valley and was founded in 1988 by Alain Le Capitaine, with Christophe Le Capitaine joining in 1995 and Florian Le Capitaine in 2013. Spanning 28 hectares of vineyards in Rochecorbon, the winery primarily cultivates Chenin Blanc on limestone and tuffeau soils, alongside a small parcel of Gamay. The sites benefit from a distinct local climate and produce wines under the AOC Vouvray and AOC Touraine denominations. The production encompasses dry, off-dry and sweet still wines, as well as sparkling styles.
