About the estate

The Domaine Jean-Luc Viaud estate is located in the municipality of Le Landreau in the Loire Valley, where Jean-Luc Viaud represents the fourth generation of winemakers in his family. The vineyards are situated on small, south- to southwest-facing slopes featuring sandy-loam soils over micaschist. For vineyard management, the estate relies on traditional techniques such as the Guyot nantais pruning method while continuously evolving practices to respect the environment. In the cellar, vinification follows principles where technology must not override terroir expression, and white wines are aged on the lees in small underground tanks.

The eno directory lists 17 wines, mostly from Abouriou and Pinot Noir. Export markets include Belgium.
