About the estate
The Domaine Jacques Laurens estate is located in Occitanie near the Cité of Carcassonne, covering over 50 hectares of vineyards on the edge of the small village of La Digne d’Aval within the Limoux wine region. In the 1980s, a winemaker from Champagne established the winery after recognizing the potential of the appellation, which has held protected status since 1938. Jacques Calvel took over the property in 2002, modernizing the cellar facilities and expanding the estate while maintaining its pioneering spirit. Today, the winery practices sustainable agriculture and focuses exclusively on the production of sparkling wines under the Blanquette de Limoux and Crémant de Limoux appellations, distributing them internationally.
