About the estate
The Domaine des Hautes Vignes estate was founded in 1961 by André and Paulette in Distré within the Loire Valley and is currently managed in a family tradition by their son Alain and his wife Anne. The historic family business cultivates vineyards on clay-limestone soils as well as characteristic tuffeau limestone sites that provide ideal conditions for cellar aging. The cultivated grape variety spectrum includes classic varieties of the Loire Valley such as Chenin, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. The winery operates according to environmentally friendly agricultural practices and holds the level 3 Haute Valeur Environnementale certification. All wines are produced independently from the vineyard to the bottling stage and reflect the character of the origin.
