About the estate
The family estate Domaine De La Barbiniere was established in 1978 by Philippe Orion with two hectares of vineyards. Today, the winery in Chantonnay is run by his sons, Vincent and Alban, who returned in 2005 after completing viticultural studies and gaining international experience. The vineyards cover 30 hectares across the Coteaux du Lay and benefit from a diverse range of soils shaped by the Chantonnay carboniferous fault. Since 2018, the estate has operated under certified organic agriculture with mechanical soil management and manual vineyard work. The portfolio includes wines from the AOC Fiefs Vendéens and IGP Val de Loire denominations as well as méthode traditionnelle.
