About the estate
The Domaine de Baronarques estate is located in Languedoc near Limoux in Saint-Polycarpe and has a history dating back to the 17th century. Following a major five-year renovation after its acquisition by the Rothschild family in 1998, the estate was granted the AOC Limoux rouge appellation in 2003. Covering 43 hectares of vineyards, the estate cultivates grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache, Malbec, and Chardonnay. The soils are predominantly clay-limestone, and the climate, influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, and the nearby Pyrenees, provides optimal conditions for viticulture.
