About the estate
The Domain Jean Becker estate cultivates a vineyard area of about twenty hectares around Zellenberg and neighboring villages. The Becker family has been growing grapes there for twelve generations since 1610, making it one of the oldest winemaking families in Alsace. The plots feature a great geological diversity with soils ranging from limestone, marl, and clay to sandstone and granite. In 1999, the estate converted its entire production to organic farming. The portfolio focuses on terroir-driven wines, including bottlings from renowned grand cru sites as well as late harvest selections.
