About the estate
The Clos Puy Arnaud estate is situated on a plateau at an altitude of 90 to 100 meters in the continuation of Saint-Emilion and covers a vineyard area of 15 hectares. The soil consists of limestone with a very thin layer of clay-silt-sand, which imparts great finesse and elegance to the grapes. The vineyards are divided into 32 parcels with an average vine age of 30 years. The cultivated grape varieties mainly include Merlot, alongside Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Sauvignon blanc, and Castets. The winery utilizes in-situ massal selections and draws its expression directly from this distinctive plateau terroir.
