About the estate
The Château la Roque estate is located in the commune of Fontanès north of Montpellier in the heart of the Pic Saint Loup terroir. The property covers 80 hectares in a single block, including 32 hectares of vines. The terraced vineyard forms an amphitheater embedded in the Mediterranean garrigue at altitudes between 125 and 230 meters. The geological conditions are based on a marly-limestone substrate and various clay-limestone soils with different depths and characteristics. This environment, shaped by mineral and vegetal interactions, offers specific growing conditions for grape varieties such as Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Rolle, and Marsanne.
