About the estate
Château La Lagune is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc, established as a wine estate around 1587. Located at the southernmost point of the Médoc peninsula, the property features a unique vineyard situated on an alluvial gravel terrace characterized by warm, well-draining soils of quartz and pebbles alongside cooler subsoils. Catherine and Stéphane manage the estate, meticulously crafting wines through plot-by-plot selection. In 2021, the estate received biodynamic certification under the Biodyvin label. Additionally, the property maintains a rich ecosystem and implements a conservation program for rare cattle breeds.
