About the estate

The Château Cantegril estate is situated on a limestone plateau in Haut-Barsac and looks back on a history dating back to the Middle Ages. In 1854, the property was detached from Château Myrat and has remained in the same family since 1924, currently managed by Fabrice and Jean-Jacques Dubourdieu. The vineyard covers 10.5 hectares with an average vine age of 60 years, planted exclusively with Sémillon. The soil is typically composed of red clay over the well-known limestone plateau of the appellation. Harvesting is done manually through successive selective picklings, followed by fermentation and aging in barrels for an average duration of twelve months.

The eno directory lists one wine.
