About the estate
The Cantina Sociale Vacri winery was founded on March 8, 1970, by a small group of local producers and has grown into a major cooperative within the medieval village of Vacri in Abruzzo. The approximately 600 hectares of vineyards are distributed across about 300 member farms in several surrounding municipalities, benefiting from a mild climate influenced by the close proximity of the sea and mountains. The primary grape varieties cultivated by the estate include Montepulciano, Cococciola, Chardonnay, Pecorino, Pinot Grigio, and Trebbiano. The area's deep-rooted winemaking tradition shapes the producers' approach to crafting their quality wines.
