About the estate

The Cantina Sociale La Vite was founded in 1970 by 43 members and today unites around 1,500 winegrowers managing approximately 4,000 hectares of vineyards in central and southern Sicily. The vineyards stretch across the provinces of Caltanissetta, Agrigento, and Ragusa, benefiting from a unique microclimate shaped by the proximity of the Mediterranean Sea. The estate is the largest producer of Nero d’Avola in Sicily and dedicates significant attention to this variety as well as to organic farming. Alongside native white grape varieties and dark-skinned grapes, the winery cultivates the best international varieties, producing certified wines under the Sicily DOC and Riesi DOC denominations.
