About the estate
The Cantina Le Macchie estate is located in the heart of the central Apennines between the Reatina basin and the slopes of Mount Terminillo. Until the 1970s the family lived by agriculture before reviving their history and restarting the project on the hills. The vineyards are cultivated organically at altitudes between 600 and 1,000 meters, with much of the work carried out by hand. The mountainous conditions, marked temperature fluctuations, and diverse soils shape the character of the wines. The property also features a 15th-century historic cellar alongside a restaurant and a guesthouse for visitors.
