About the estate
The Cantina Casabella traces its origins back to the early 20th century in Ziano Piacentino under Luigi Montemartini, before officially becoming Cantine Casabella in 1991. The estate cultivates thirty-five hectares of organically farmed vineyards situated in the hills of Ziano Piacentino and the Val Tidone. In 1998, the winery acquired its production and bottling facility in Castell’Arquato, which remains the main headquarters and heart of the operation today. The production focuses on indigenous grape varieties such as Ortrugo, Malvasia, Bonarda, and Gutturnio, utilizing estate-grown grapes alongside those supplied by local growers. Currently, the estate distributes its wines globally to international markets including Europe, Asia, and North and South America.
The eno directory lists 8 wines, mostly from Lambrusco and Chardonnay. The estate sells to importers and distributors.
