About the estate
The Boomsma Distillery was founded in 1883 by Dirk Boomsma in Leeuwarden and is run today in the fifth generation by Saskia and Chantoine. The company produces genevers, Beerenburger, liqueurs, gin and other spirits using natural ingredients and traditional stills as well as copper pot stills purchased in 2015. In addition, the family business has been importing quality wines from around the world since the early 1970s. The production also includes the wood-ageing of selected spirits in port, bourbon or wine barrels. The company philosophy places the emphasis on natural ingredients and traditional methods to ensure quality and taste.
