The Bodegas Erupcion estate manages five hectares of vineyards within the volcanic terroirs of the Denominación de Origen Lanzarote. The name refers to the island's last volcanic eruption in 1824 in the village of Tao, where a large share of the vineyards and the winery—founded by Marcial López in 1982 and currently led in the third generation by oenologist Amor López—are located. Grown in volcanic soils shaped by trade winds, the ungrafted, pre-phylloxera vines primarily include traditional varieties such as Malvasía Volcánica and Listán Negro. The winery specializes in the artisanal production of limited-edition, distinctive estate wines.
