Bodegas El Tanino

About the estate

The Bodegas El Tanino estate was founded in 2006 by a group of local members as an agricultural transformation company located in Hoya Gonzalo within the province of Albacete. Operating under the Almansa DO, the cooperative manages over 700 hectares of vineyards situated at high altitudes, practicing agriculture focused on low yields and respect for grape quality. The predominant grape variety of the region is Garnacha Tintorera, which develops strong coloration due to the local geographical conditions and significant diurnal temperature ranges. Additional cultivated varieties include Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, and Macabeo.
