About the estate
The Vallegarcía winery is located at an altitude of 850 metres in the Montes de Toledo and covers a vineyard area of 50 hectares. The vineyards with poor, acidic soils and a continental climate were designed by the Australian viticulture professor Richard Smart. The estate cultivates French grape varieties such as Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, alongside national varieties like Garnacha and Monastrell added in 2018. In 2019, the area was granted the status of a protected designation of origin as a Denominación de Origen Protegida. Today, the estate is managed in the second generation by Carlos and Felipe Cortina Lapique.
The eno directory lists 3 wines.
