About the estate

The Bodegas Castaño winery was founded in 1950 by Ramón Castaño Santa, who pioneered the use of the Monastrell grape variety. Later, his three sons joined the estate, initiating the path toward the international market and ongoing innovation. For vinification, the property features modern facilities equipped with temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks as well as an underground cellar for oak barrel aging. The portfolio includes wines produced from grape varieties such as Monastrell, Garnacha Tintorera, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Macabeo.

The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from Mourvèdre and Macabeo. The estate sells to retail.
