About the estate

The Bodegas Calvente winery has been working on a project in the province of Granada since 1997 and cultivates its vineyards under the D.O.P. Vinos de Granada denomination. Horacio Calvente farms old Muscat vines in the mountains of the Sierra de Los Guájares as well as on the steep slopes of Pago de la Guindalera and Pago de Castillejos. Located at altitudes between 800 and 1000 meters, the vineyards benefit from their proximity to the Mediterranean, providing optimal conditions for varieties such as Moscatel de Alejandría, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo, and Syrah. The small bodega places great emphasis on the meticulous care of the historic vineyards and every single production process.

The eno directory lists 12 wines, mostly from Moscatel de Alejandría and Chardonnay. The estate sells to horeca and retail.
