About the estate

The Abadía Retuerta estate is located in the Duero Valley and looks back on a long-standing history dating back to the foundation of the monastery in 1146. Covering 193 hectares of vineyards, the winery cultivates grape varieties such as Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc. The wines reflect the uniqueness of the terroir and are marketed under the protected designation of origin Abadía Retuerta DOP. The production relies exclusively on estate-grown grapes harvested directly from its own plots. The modern winery was built in the 1990s, successfully connecting historical roots with contemporary winemaking.
