About the estate
The history of Barbadillo began in the nineteenth century when Benigno Barbadillo and Manuel López Barbadillo settled in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, acquiring their first winery in 1821. In 1827, they introduced the first Manzanilla named Pastora, gradually establishing a traditional family-run business over the following decades. The historic buildings reflect regional architecture and house centuries-old winemaking traditions alongside a dedicated museum. Today, the estate represents a deep connection to its local roots combined with a commitment to sustainable organic winemaking initiatives.
