About the estate
The history of the Barbadillo Bodega Gibalbín estate began in the nineteenth century when Benigno Barbadillo and Manuel López Barbadillo settled in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. In 1821, they acquired their first winery called El Toro, which stands as a paradigm of Andalusian architecture. By 1827, they launched the first Manzanilla known as Pastora. In 1954, Antonio Barbadillo Ambrossy formally established the company. Later on, the winery expanded its operations by introducing an ecological division.
