About the estate
The Adega Viúva Gomes estate manages a vineyard area of five hectares in the Colares region, which is characterized by a unique climate between the coast and the Sintra Mountains. The vineyards are planted on sandy soils and, due to this specific terroir, have survived entirely on their own roots without grafting. This estate production is complemented by collaborations and the purchase of grapes from local producers in selected vineyards. The region is historically deeply rooted in viticulture, looking back on a long tradition dating back to the times of Roman occupation and the Middle Ages.
